On entering the store a full length double height Bronze mirror wall along the aisle completes that illusion of a courtyard wrapped in a contemporary Jaali, a screen, with motifs punched out in shot blasted calcium silicate board, a reference to the traditional Jharokha in Indian Palaces. Half a chandelier constructed out of strung beads is reflected to form a whole to complete the illusion.
The entire store is constructed using shotblasted calcium silicate board finished with lacquer to achieve an organic surface in white. Floors in flamed black granite serve to highlight the rest of the space.
The actual display consists of individual racks for designers laid out in a manner such that they form small individual courtyards laid out in a linear formation on either side of an aisle that terminates in a bronze mirror wall that selectively extends the tiny space.
A salon for private buyers is discreetly concealed behind the jaalis screening the mezzanine, allowing them filtered views reflected through double mirrors, all the way two floors below.
