An old 3 storied building G + 2 with existing retail on the ground floor, an office on the First Floor, and a home on the 2nd. The 3rd floor above was open to sky. To create an up market Menswear boutique retailing distinct sub-brands on 3 different floors and an Italian cafeteria on the rooftop, tied together by a common link. Due to local Municipal regulations there was only minimal structural intervention possible on the building.Creating a Strong , uniform identity for the building, Letting in screened daylight in the day and retaining privacy for shoppers, Ease of maintenance, ase of installation Our Intervention: The building was plastered in white grit finish and wrapped in a skin of Anodised Aluminum pipes. The building changes character through the day, the skin glinting of reflected sunlight during the day and becoming silhouetted as the store becomes an in-lit cube at night.
